Overnight at Gamboa Rainforest Reserve (B,L)
Admire and learn about the Rainforest, but this time from a different perspective. This peaceful and relaxing tour, takes you over the tree tops. A naturalist guide will help you to interpret some of the jungle´s most interesting facts.
The tram rises 267 feet a tent-floor observation tower. On the way to the observation tower, and as we ride to the top of a hill, we will enjoy fabulous views of the Chagres River, the Embera indigenous community, and much of the Soberania National Park.
Sloths Sanctuary: Gamboa Rainforest Reserve is a Hotel characterized by offering the visitor a unique space of contact with nature and this time with the support of the APPC has developed the Sloth’s Sanctuary which has a rehabilitation and training program for sloth that are injured by traffic accidents, sick and orphans due to forest fragmentation and reduction of their habitat are trained to return them to their place of origin and thus help increase the population of this important folivore.

Embera Indigenous Village
This trip is truly paradise found in its purest form! The enchanting journey takes us deep into the dense jungles of Chagres where the Emberá Indians have lived for centuries. Upon arrival to the village you will be taken back in time as you are immersed in the ancient Embera cultural dances and music that have not changed much since Columbus arrived in the 1500´s. The Indians will invite visitors to explore the area’s abundant variety of birds and wildlife during a trek that takes you through the untouched jungle. During our visit, the Emberas will give you a glimpse into their mystical rituals and amazing knowledge of medicinal plants and other natural remedies.
The Embera women are known as one of the world’s finest basket makers, and you will be able to watch them create these beautiful objects made out of palm leaves and dyed with natural dyes. You can also have your body painted with the natural fruit dye called Jagua, used by the Indians for body decorations as well as for its health-giving properties. Before returning back to civilization, the Indians will offer us a traditional meal of fresh fish and plantains and you will have an opportunity to purchase some of their beautiful handicraft.

Gamboa Tree Trek
Slide through the treetops of the tropical forest and admire the most incredible collection of natural landscapes
bordering the Panama Canal and Soberanía National Park. Enjoy a different view of the Panama Canal and the
Chagres River across 1.4 kilometers of length divided into 10 cables and 13 platforms. You will discover an
unknown world and a fascinating perspective of life that you never thought would exist.
The wildlife among treetops is abundant and varied, being possible to appreciate with a little luck Howler monkeys, White faced capuchin monkeys, and birds like the Keel billed Toucan.
