DAY01: PANAMA CITY

On arrival at Tocumen International Airport, passengers will go through customs and immigration. Our representative will meet the group at the arrival hall to take the transportation to Casco Viejo, at down town Panama. Check in and dinner at Hotel Panama Central.

The historic district known as Casco Viejo, or San Felipe, is one of the most popular sites for tourists in Panama City .Casco Viejo was built to replace the original settlement Panama Viejo, which was destroyed upon the arrival of British pirate Henry Morgan in 1671. Despite much of the city being destroyed, the pirates spend three weeks looting whatever they could. Ruins from Panama Viejo still remains Construction of Casco Viejo began in 1672, 8 kms from the original settlement. Casco Viejo was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997

 

DAY02: CASCO ANTIGUO and EMBERAS - Adventure

After picking you up at your hotel, we will go to Alajuela Lake where we will board a ¨piragua¨, a traditional indigenous boat, heading to the Mono waterfall where we can swim and refresh. Later we will go to Tusipono Embera, a small traditional village located in the bank of the Chagres River in the middle of the rainforest. The Emberas will show their traditions, their way of dressing and how they elaborate their handcrafts. They will perform their traditional dances and music and we will have time for interacting directly with them. We will enjoy lunch prepared by the Embera community. We will return to your hotel at 2:30 p.m.

 

DAY03: THE SEVEN CHURCHES –Culture

A roughly 85% of Panamanians identify as Roman Catholic, The Seven Churches of Casco Viejo are a popular destination for both tourists and local alike. During Holy Week, many devotees make the pilgrimage to each church in order to pray for health and good fortune. It is not surprising that there are so many churches in Casco Viejo. One of the main objectives of the Spanish (and Portuguese) colonizers was to indoctrinate the indigenous people in the new world. Converting them to Catholic would make them friendlier.

DAY04: ANTON VALLEY – Nature

After breakfast, begins our trip to El Valle de Anton. El Valle’ means the Valley, and this beautiful region just a few hours out of Panama City is much more than a valley, it is a volcanic crater from many years ago. You will find an abundance of natural beauty amidst canyons, waterfalls and spectacular

After check in and lunch at the hotel Los Mandarinos, we will visit the serpentarium and a butterfly farm and the end of the afternoon will be spent at the thermal waters.

 

DAY05: SEE YOU…

After breakfast, departure to Tocumen Airport.
