Itinerary:

Day 1 (Tuesday): Arrival in Sofia

  • Welcome to Sofia! Arrival and check-in.

Day 2 (Wednesday): Sofia – Rila Monastery – Sofia

  • Visit the iconic Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Return to Sofia for the night.

Day 3 (Thursday): Sofia – Plovdiv

  • Travel to Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe, known for its charming Old Town and Roman Amphitheater.

Day 4 (Friday): Plovdiv – Veliko Tarnovo

  • Journey to Veliko Tarnovo, the medieval capital of Bulgaria, famous for the Tsarevets Fortress and picturesque architecture.

Day 5 (Saturday): Veliko Tarnovo – Bucharest

  • Cross the border into Romania and arrive in Bucharest, Romania's vibrant capital city.

Day 6 (Sunday): Bucharest – Sibiu

  • Travel to Sibiu, a stunning medieval town in the heart of Transylvania, renowned for its Saxon heritage and cobbled streets.

Day 7 (Monday): Sibiu

  • Explore Sibiu at your own pace, discovering its historic squares, Bridge of Lies, and cultural landmarks.

Day 8 (Tuesday): Sibiu – Biertan – Sighisoara

  • Visit Biertan, home to a fortified Saxon church, before continuing to Sighisoara, a beautifully preserved medieval town and the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler.

Day 9 (Wednesday): Sighisoara – Viscri – Brasov

  • Stop in Viscri, known for its traditional Saxon houses and fortified church, then proceed to Brasov, a charming city surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains.

Day 10 (Thursday): Brasov – Bran – Brasov

  • Visit Bran Castle, often associated with the Dracula legend, before returning to Brasov for further exploration.

Day 11 (Friday): Brasov – Sinaia – Bucharest

  • Stop in Sinaia to tour the magnificent Peles Castle, then continue to Bucharest.

Day 12 (Saturday): Bucharest – Departure

  • Depart from Bucharest.
