This Full Day Lantau Island Tour with a lunch stop includes a visit to Po Lin Monastery, the Big Buddha, a ride on the Ngong Ping Cable Car and concludes in Tung Chung.

This tour will give you a completely new impression of Hong Kong, as Lantau Island has maintained its original character along with all its natural beauty. During this excursion, you will be taken back in time to the tranquility and peace of a long bygone era. We reach the headland by the newly built cable car and take a short walk to the Po Lin Monastery. With the hectic life of Hong Kong far behind us, you will be introduced to the spiritual world of Buddhism, where monks pray and chant while performing their rituals, and the familiar scent of joss sticks surrounds us. Next, we visit the impressive Big Buddha, which sits majestically next to the monastery. Made entirely of bronze, it is the world's largest sitting Buddha! A vegetarian lunch will be served at the Po Lin Monastery. We then stroll back through the village of Ngong Ping and take the cable car back downhill to Tung Chung, where the tour ends and our coach takes you back to the hotel.
