Day 1:
Arrive to DelhiUpon your arrival at Delhi airport, where you will smoothly complete arrival, immigration, and customs procedures, a courteous English-speaking Guide/English speaking representative from Minar Travels will extend a warm welcome. Following this, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in (starting at 2:00 p.m.), allowing you to unwind and refresh.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2:In Delhi
The journey will commence with a tour of Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, often referred to as the Delhi Cathedral Mosque. This historic site is home to invaluable Muslim relics.Next, the group will travel alongside the walls of the Red Fort, a significant historical complex in India that encapsulates a vast span of Indian history. Symbolizing the architectural splendor and authority of the dynasties that once governed India, the Red Fort holds great cultural importance. Every year on August 15, the anniversary of India's independence from Great Britain, the Prime Minister addresses the nation from the Red Fort's walls.The expedition will progress in New Delhi as the group travels along Rajghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. They will also drive along the city's central avenue, passing government buildings, and witness Sansad Bhavan (Palace of Parliament) and Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace). The latter once served as the Royal Residence for the British Viceroys who governed India.Following that, the tour will proceed to India Gate, a memorial dedicated to the soldiers of the Indian Army who sacrificed their lives in military operations from the First World War to the present day.In the afternoon, tranquility awaits at Bangla Sahib, a peaceful Sikh temple, and the architectural splendor of Humayun's Tomb, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.In the evening, we'll return to the hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the day's enriching experiences. Day 3: Delhi to Jaipur
After a hearty breakfast, we continue our journey to the vibrant city of Jaipur, renowned for its rich heritage and captivating architecture.En-route a brief visit to Samode Palace. Approx. 40 kms before Jaipur lies a beautiful 16th century Palace exquisitely designed and influenced by Rajput and Mughal architecture. Now converted in a Luxury Heritage hotel, they still allow visitors to visit and appreciate the exquisiteness of this palace.Later continue drive to Jaipur and on arrival in Jaipur and accommodation at the hotel. Late afternoon attend “Lac” bangle making workshop and appreciate this process, where the craftsperson very competently transforms a sticky substance into beautiful and colorful bangles. Upon arrival in Jaipur, we'll smoothly check-in at our hotel. Day 4: In Jaipur
Following a delectable breakfast, embark on a journey to explore the resplendent heritage of Jaipur.Our day commences with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy an enchanting elephant ride. Feel like royalty as you ascend to the fort, immersing yourself in the grandeur of a bygone era.Next, we'll delve into the heart of the city, visiting the majestic City Palace. This sprawling complex is a harmonious blend of courtyards, lush gardens, and opulent structures. Within, a captivating museum awaits, housing an impressive array of artifacts in its halls dedicated to Weapons, Textiles, and Artifacts.Our journey through Jaipur's rich history continues with a visit to the remarkable Jantar Mantar. Built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728 CE, this astronomical observatory is a marvel of precision and purpose, with each structure serving a unique function, from tracking stars to predicting eclipses.As we traverse the city, you can't miss the iconic Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of the Winds, constructed in 1799 CE. This architectural masterpiece is perfect for a photo stop, allowing you to capture the essence of Jaipur's timeless allure. After a day filled with regal exploration, we return to our hotel, where you can unwind and reflect on the wonders you've encountered. Immerse yourself in the beauty of local jewelry by exploring a Jewelry workshop. Additionally, a visit to a Textile factory will enchant you with the mesmerizing art of Indian fabric printing. Ladies can indulge in the experience of trying on an authentic Indian sari, while gentlemen can embrace traditional Indian attire by donning a kurta.Recharge, as there are more enchanting discoveries awaiting you in the heart of Jaipur. Day 5: TRANSFER JAIPUR – ABHANERI STEPWELL - FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA (ON THE ROAD 245 KM / 5 HOURS)
After breakfast transfer to Agra. On the way visit Abhaneri Step well and Fatehpur Sikri. Abhaneri Step well: also known as chand baoli is one of the oldest and deepest step wells in India leading down to 13 stories. It was built to preserve water and provide respite from heat to travelers. Also visit Harshat Mata Temple, which although is in ruins lays in the same village.The city of Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by Emperor Akbar who wanted to build his Capital here however had to soon abandon due to lack of drinking water. Later transfer to the hotel for check-in. As we continue our journey, we reach the timeless city of Agra, where you'll check in at the hotel. After a day filled with exploration and discovery, it's time to relax and rejuvenate, preparing for the wonders that await us in Agra. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: In Agra
Sunrise visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, a world-renowned architectural marvel. (Please note: The Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.) The Taj Mahal, often regarded as the "Symbol of Love," is believed to have been crafted by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his sixteenth wife, Mumtaz Mahal. As you stand in awe of its timeless beauty and intricate craftsmanship, you'll understand why it's considered one of the world's most extraordinary monuments.Later return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast proceed to visit Agra Fort. Agra Fort, also known as the Red Fort of Agra, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Agra, India. Constructed primarily of red sandstone, the fort stands as a testament to the architectural grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Emperor Akbar initiated the construction of the fort in the 16th century, and subsequent rulers, including Shah Jahan, added structures to enhance its magnificence. The fort served as the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 when the capital was shifted to Delhi. Notable features within the fort include the Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), and the stunning Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque). Agra Fort offers a glimpse into India's rich history and is a significant landmark near the iconic Taj Mahal.Evening proceeds to visit Mohabbat-e- Taj Show.At 5:30 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Agra and head to The Kalakriti Cultural & Convention Centre. We'll watch how theatre, dance and history blend together in the wonderful Mohabbat the Taj show. When we come to the venue's entrance, you'll be assigned your seats. The lights will begin to dim and then it's showtime! You'll see an incredible show that'll take you on a magical journey through Indian culture. We'll watch a play lasting 1 hour 30 minutes, in which we'll learn how the love story between Shah Jahan and Mumtaj is related to the construction of the Taj Mahal and the Mughal dynasty. After taking in this breathtaking spectacle of music and dance, we'll take you back to your hotel in Agra. We'll drop you off at around 8 pm. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Agra - Varanasi by Vande Bharat
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to Agra railway station to board Vande Bharat to Varanasi. Upon arrival in Varanasi, transfer to hotel for check-in.The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to unwind and explore Varanasi at your own pace. You might choose to stroll through the bustling streets, immerse yourself in local culture, or simply relax and savor the serene atmosphere of this ancient city.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Embark on Cruise sails every Monday & Friday.
Arrive Varanasi and embark the ship (Embarkation: 12:00 Hrs). Varanasi is one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in India. With its array of shrines, temples, and palaces, rising in several tiers from the water’s edge, Varanasi is the holiest city for Hindus.In the evening ride the country boat to the Dashashwamedh Ghat to see the “Ganga Aarti” performed by a group of priests lined up on the riverbank chanting mantras and performing the prayer ritual with lamps, incense, and traditional instruments to honor the river.Overnight onboard Bengal Ganga.
Day 9: Varanasi – Cruising Downstream
After breakfast stroll in the Vishwanath Gali (street), and experience the hustle and bustle of devotees and road side vendors. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple for “Darshan” and offering prayers to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the city. Return to the ship by midday and begin cruising downstream viewing the countryside and enjoying lunch onboard. Overnight onboard Bengal Ganga.
Day 10: Varanasi – Cruising Upstream
After breakfast we sail upstream towards Varanasi, arriving by midday at Ravidas Ghat. Post lunch visit to Sarnath the seat where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment in Bodhgaya. Visit the local bazaar for shopping the famous “banarasi” silk, muslin, perfumes, and other handicrafts that Varanasi is famous for.Overnight onboard Bengal Ganga.
Day 11: Disembark from Cruise in Varanasi
Following breakfast disembark the ship (Disembarkation: 08:00 hrs.). Later proceed to visit Sarnath: Sarnath, located just a short distance from Varanasi, holds immense historical and spiritual significance. It is the place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. The ancient ruins, Buddhist stupas, and the renowned Dhamek Stupa stand as reminders of this momentous event. Sarnath is a serene and contemplative site, inviting visitors to explore its archaeological wonders and meditate upon the teachings of Buddha. The Sarnath Museum, adjacent to the historical site, houses a remarkable collection of sculptures and artifacts dating back to ancient times. Later return to Varanasi, upon arrival transfer to hotel for check-in.Evening proceeds to visit Ganga Aarti Ceremony Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Banaras, is one of the oldest and holiest cities in the world, and it's the epicentres of spiritual and cultural activity in India. The Ganga Aarti ceremony in Varanasi is a mesmerizing and spiritually charged event that takes place daily at the Dashashwamedh Ghat, one of the city's most iconic riverfront locations.
Setting and Timing: • Dashashwamedh Ghat: The ceremony unfolds against the backdrop of the historic Dashashwamedh Ghat, which is believed to be the spot where Lord Brahma performed the tenhorse sacrifice (Dashashwamedh Yagna). • Timing: The Ganga Aarti in Varanasi typically commences after sunset, usually around 6:45 PM during winters and 7:00 PM during summers. Day 12: Varanasi to Delhi by flight & departure
Early morning sunrise proceeds for Morning Boat Ride on the Ganges: A serene morning boat ride along the mystical Ganges River is a quintessential Varanasi experience. As the first rays of the sun gently illuminate the ghats (riverfront steps), you embark on a tranquil journey that transcends time. Later return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast checkout from the hotel and ontime transfer to Varanasi Airport to board flight to Delhi.
