Day 1

Arrival in Stockholm. At the airport a bus awaits to take the travellers to their centrally located hotel.

Day 2

In Stockholm one is never far from water, as the city is built on 14 islands. Get to know the city via guided tour that will take the group around the Swedish capital. You will visit some of the best photo stops and most important sights, such as City Hall, and the well-preserved medieval Old Town with its cobbled streets. Stockholm's City Hall is one of Europe's most impressive modern structures. On a waterfront location, it boasts pillared arcades and lavishly decorated rooms. Internationally, it is best known as the venue of the annual banquet for the Nobel Prize.

After the city tour it is time to go underground. The Stockholm metro resembles a cave, a garden and a museum. Take part of the world's longest art exhibition in the Stockholm Metro.

Stockholm Opera (optional)

In the evening you can add a visit to the Royal Stockholm Opera.

Day 3

Take the boat over to the museum Islands Skeppsholmen and Djurgården. Here, your guide will visit the following museums that each cover their own style of art. ArkDes holds one of the world’s largest architecture collections. Over 4 million drawings, photographs, and models.

The Vasa Museum is situated on the island of Djurgården and housing a part of the Swedish history it is one of Stockholm’s main attractions.

The royal war vessel Vasa sank in 1628 on its maiden voyage still in the harbour of Stockholm. 333 years later it was finally retrieved, restored and conserved. Today it is exhibited in the museum that also tells about the history and about the salvage.

ABBA The Museum is more than an ordinary museum. Naturally, the members’ costumes, gold records, original items, memorabilia, and much, much more are here. But at this museum you are an important part of the experience! The museum simply wants you to experience the feeling of being the 5th ABBA member. To find out what you would look like in their legendary stage costumes, to sing at the Polar Studio, to experience exciting hologram illusions, and to enter the stage together with the band. Your material will be recorded on your personal ID number on your ticket.

Spend some free time on the island or follow your guide back to the hotel.

Day 4

A local guide and bus pick you up at the hotel for a full day of impressions. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the serenity of the archipelago, inspiring art, and exceptional cuisine – all just 30 minutes away by bus! Here lies Artipelag.

The idea behind Artipelag was to create a destination where art and culture could interact, and where the archipelago would be present throughout. Artipelag invites you enjoy a peaceful stroll along the boardwalk and forest paths to experience both nature and art from the permanent exhibition Sculpture in nature. The artworks can be seen along the walking paths in the surrounding forests and meadows, along the seashore, on the jetty and the headland.

After this you head out to Millesgården where you enjoy the peaceful sculpture park and inspiring exhibitions. The artist home was built in 1908 by sculptor Carl Milles and his wife painter Olga Milles. In 1936 Millesgården was given by Carl and Olga to the Swedish commuity and is since then run as a foundation. Millesgården is today a well renowned museum with an artist home, an antique collection, a sculpture garden, an art gallery Head just west of the City to Drottningholm, beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Maelaren. The palace was built in 1580 by Johann III of Sweden as a gift for his wife Katherina of Poland. Since 1982 the palace is the residence of the Swedish Royal Family and it was the first cultural monument in Sweden to be put on UNESCO’s of world heritage. Following a tour of the royal apartments, you can stroll through the park and see the exterior of the Royal Theatre and the "Kina Slott", the Chinese Pavillion.

Day 5

It is time for the last full day in Stockholm.

Start it off at the ICEBAR Stockholm, where everything, including your drink's glass, is crafted from ice. With a steady temperature of -5°C (23°F) and space for up to 60 guests, immerse yourself in this icy wonderland. Then, let your inner ice artist go crazy, at an ice sculpting activity! You work in teams of two and the objective is to create an art piece out of ice.

Finish the day at Fotografiska, a contemporary photography museum that focuses on powerful visual storytelling. Instead of a permanent collection, it features rotating exhibitions from both well-known and emerging photographers, so there’s always something new to see. With its modern atmosphere and waterfront location, Fotografiska offers an accessible and engaging way to experience photography in Stockholm.
