Portugal is a compelling destination for active travellers seeking to combine sport, culture and lifestyle. This Active Escape is built around HYROX Lisbon on 3 May and designed for athletes competing in doubles and travelling with their families, transforming a one-day competition into a complete multi-day travel experience.

The program transforms a high-intensity race day into a shared multi-day experience, balancing performance, recovery and leisure for both competitors and accompanying family members, including children.

The Experience

The journey begins in Lisbon, with accommodation located close to the event venue, allowing athletes to remain fully focused in the days leading up to the competition. Prior to race day, the program remains intentionally light, with optional mobility or activation sessions, while companions may attend the event or enjoy independent city time.

Race day is dedicated to the HYROX experience, with flexibility built in for athletes to recover, socialise or remain at the venue following their competition.

After the event, the program shifts into a shared post-race experience for athletes and companions. A curated Lisbon City Experience introduces the city at a relaxed pace and includes a visit to the Lisbon Book Fair (Feira do Livro de Lisboa), one of the city’s most traditional spring cultural events.
