DAY 1 MONDAY: CARACAS
DINNER IN A TYPICAL GARDEN RESTAURANT

Arrival at the airport in Caracas and transfer to the fantastically located Tamanaco Hotel. Today we will have dinner in a typical Venezuelan garden restaurant.

DAY 2 TUESDAY: CARACAS
MOUNT AVILA HIKING - MACAW EXPERIENCE

Today we explore Caracas with its great climate and many facets. We either walk or take the cable car up to Avila (National Park), Caracas' local mountain. From here you can see the metropolis and the Caribbean from 2000 meters above sea level.

Visit Los Proceres, where hundreds of macaws gather in the late afternoon. A unique spectacle, which can only be experienced in Caracas.

The wellness area and the pool of the hotel invite you daily to enjoy.

DAY 3 WEDNESDAY: CARACAS
MUSEUMS AND PLAZAS AND COOKING CLASS

Today's focus is on visiting the contemporary art museum and impressive sites such as the Plaza Bolivar and the birthplace of Simon Bolivar, the national hero. We will prepare dinner ourselves today. Together with a Venezuelan chef, we will prepare exquisite local dishes.

DAY 4 THURSDAY: CANAIMA
CANAIMA LAGOON, SAPO FALLS AND RELAXING

We take a scheduled flight to Canaima. The flight to the Venezuelan paradise takes about an hour, where we land not far from the Canaima lagoon. With a motorized canoe, we visit the waterfalls of Canaima and walk behind the fantastic Salto El Sapo.

The rest of the day can be spent on the snow-white beach of the lagoon, where we are pampered by the hotel staff.

DAY 5 FRIDAY: CANAIMA
ANGEL FALLS OVERFLIGHT AND KAVAK CAVE

From Canaima airport, we fly for 30 minutes to Kavac. The local guides will lead us through a path through savannah and jungle to the gorge of Kavak through which it goes partly walking and partly swimming to its end to a 20-meter-high waterfall. This hike takes about 3 hours. We then board the plane for the return flight, during which we will fly over the Auyantepuy and Angel waterfalls (depending on the weather, this is an outward or return flight).

DAY 6 SATURDAY: CANAIMA
INDIGENOUS SETTLEMENT(CONUCO)

Today's program includes a visit to an Indian family. We learn how casabe (cassava cakes), cachire (cassava beer), and comache (hot sauce) have been made in the jungle for thousands of years and familiarize ourselves with the way of life of the lovely Pemon Indians. A privilege that only a few visitors to Canaima get to experience.

DAY 7 SUNDAY: CHORONI/PUERTO COLOMBIA
BIRDWATCHING HENRI PITTIER AND CHORONI

We take a scheduled flight back to Caracas and continue by road to Henri Pittier National Park, one of the most intact biosystems on earth. Accompanied by an ornithologist, we look out for the colorful birds of this cloud forest. The next highlight is a visit to the village of Choroni - Puerto Colombia, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We stay the next 4 nights in the enchanted village of Choroni.

DAY 8 MONDAY: CHORONI/PUERTO COLOMBIA
CACAO PLANTATIONS AND BEACH RELAXING

Today we take the boat along the cliffs to a beautiful beach in the bay of Chuao. In the immediate vicinity of the beach is a cocoa plantation where, according to Swiss chocolatiers, the world's best cocoa is grown. We walk for about an hour through the plantation to the village of Chuao, where the process of cocoa production is shown firsthand. In the afternoon we return to Choroni and visit one of the most beautiful beaches in Venezuela.

DAY 9 TUESDAY: CHORONI/PUERTO COLOMBIA
HIKING + AFRO AMERICAN MUSIC AND DANCE SHOW

As an option, a hike through the cactus landscape is offered with wonderful views of the bays around Choroni. Alternatively, we can pamper ourselves with a massage in our fantastic inn. In the late afternoon, we are offered a presentation by the inhabitants of Choroni. It is an Afro-American dance and percussion show, which shows a typical part of Venezuelan culture.

DAY 10 WEDNESDAY: CHORONI/PUERTO COLOMBIA FISHING

Today's program includes an excursion in a fishing boat. We accompany the crew of a fishing boat on a traditional trolling trip, with various types of tuna on the catch list. If our venture is successful, we will have the freshly caught fish deliciously prepared for us in one of the many small restaurants back in Choroni.

DAY 11 THURSDAY: CARACAS
RUM FACTORY, SALSA CLUB CARACAS

We return to Caracas on the road that leads through the cloud forest. However, we made a stop at a very well-known rum factory, the Santa Teresa rum factory. This rum has won several awards in Europe and is becoming increasingly popular. We are shown how the rum is produced. From the extraction of molasses to distillation and aging in oak barrels. Of course, we also get a taste of this fine drop. After a delicious dinner back in Caracas in one of the typical restaurants, we indulge in live salsa music in one of the many bars in Caracas.

DAY 12 FRIDAY: END OF THE JOURNEY

This fantastic journey comes to an end today. The last item on the program is the drive to Caracas airport.
