Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Namibia! After your arrival in Windhoek, you will be welcomed by our local representative. We will answer questions, exchange money together and help you pick up your rental car. Continue to your accommodation in the capital, Windhoek. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the local amenities or opt for a city tour to explore the most beautiful viewpoints.
Day 2 - 4: Enjoy a hearty breakfast early in the morning before continuing onto Sossusvlei via Rehoboth. After your arrival, enjoy the spectacular landscape that surrounds your desert lodge. During your stay, you have the opportunity to visit the highest dune, Big Daddy and Deadvlei, the most famous viewpoints in this region. A guided tour to Sossusvlei is highly recommended. The NamibRand is known for its exceptional darkness and here you can experience one of the clearest night skies on Earth from your open roof star gazer room.
Day 4 - 6: Today continue towards the coast of Namibia. Take a break at the charming town of Solitaire, known for its delectable apple pie. After satisfying your taste buds, continue your expedition. The road is long, but the panoramic vistas of golden sands and stark, rugged terrain make it a visual delight.We continue our journey towards Swakopmund, the town where the desert meets the sea. Along the way, the landscape subtly changes, with the flat expanse of the desert gradually giving way to the first signs of the coastal dunes. The air grows fresher, tinged with the salt of the Atlantic, and as we near Swakopmund, the charming German-influenced architecture of the town welcomes us.Founded in 1892, it was considered the most important German port in South West Africa. Swakopmund offers many German pubs, cafes, bakeries and restaurants, a beautiful promenade for walking, an aquarium and is the perfect starting point for exploring Walvis Bay and Cape Cross. Enjoy city sightseeing and explore the coastal desert, habitat for fascinating desert dwellers. Breathtaking views from the desert dunes round off the unique experience.
Day 6 - 7: This morning the journey from Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe, taking the route through Cape Cross, offers a scenic and adventurous experience. This path not only showcases the stunning coastal landscapes of Namibia but also provides an opportunity to witness the unique wildlife at Cape Cross, known for its large colony of Cape fur seals. As travellers make their way from the vibrant coastal town of Swakopmund, they will encounter diverse terrains, from sandy beaches to rugged mountains, culminating in the breathtaking rock formations of Spitzkoppe, often referred to as the "Matterhorn of Namibia." This route is ideal for those seeking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and rich biodiversity of the region.
Day 7 - 9: On your way to Twyfelfontein you will pass through the Brandberg mountain range. Over 50,000 rock paintings, several thousand years old, can be found around the Königsstein, Namibia's highest mountain at 2,573 m. In 2007, Twyfelfontein was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Other famous sights in the area are the petrified forest with around 250 million year old (fossil) trees and the "organ pipes", a volcanic massif made up of vertical basalt columns. Depending on offers at your lodge, enjoy the adventurous opportunity to track down desert elephants with a certified ranger.
Day 9 - 10: The journey from Twyfelfontein to Etosha South is like driving through a painting of Namibia: glowing red sand dunes rise from the vastness, dry river veins crisscross the landscape like forgotten paths, and ancient mountains silently watch over the land.
Day 10 - 13: Getting from Etosha South to Etosha East offers a fascinating way to explore the diverse landscapes and wildlife of Etosha National Park. While Etosha South is known for its vast plains and waterholes that attract numerous animals, Etosha East is characterized by denser vegetation and a variety of bird species. The drive from south to east allows visitors to experience and appreciate the park's diversity of wildlife and landscapes in their entirety.
Day 13-14:After a delicious breakfast at your lodge, begin your scenic drive towards the Otjiwarongo area. The landscape gradually changes, offering sweeping views of the savannah and rugged terrain that Namibia is known for. Along the way, keep an eye out for wildlife and indigenous flora as you head towards Otjiwarongo. Your accommodation is located within the Okonjima Nature Reserve. Arriving at your Lodge in the early afternoon, you’ll check in and settle into your comfortable surroundings. The lodge’s serene atmosphere provides a perfect setting for relaxation, so take some time to unwind after your journey. Whether you prefer to lounge by the pool or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a good book, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 14 - 15: Today, as you travel, you will pass by rolling hills, vast plains, and maybe even spot some wildlife along the way. The road to Windhoek is well-maintained, making for a smooth and comfortable ride. Once you reach Windhoek, you will be greeted by the bustling city life, with its vibrant markets, cultural attractions, and delicious cuisine to explore.
Day 15: Make your way to Windhoek Airport in time for your return flight. Deliver your rental vehicle and end your eventful journey through Namibia.
