This 13-day cycling tour across Sri Lanka offers a unique blend of adventure, culture, nature, and scenic diversity. Beginning on the coastal plains of Negombo, the journey takes riders through rural villages, coconut and rubber estates, paddy fields, and traditional industries, offering an authentic insight into local life. The route gradually transitions from the wet zone to the dry zone, leading to iconic cultural landmarks such as Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sigiriya Rock Fortress, and the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.
The tour continues into the cool hill country via off-the-beaten-track routes through Elahera, Bakamoona, and Riverstone, with visits to Kandy, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, botanical gardens, tea plantations, and factories. Riders then descend towards the southern plains to experience wildlife at Udawalawe National Park, the colonial heritage of Galle Fort, tranquil lake cruises, and relaxing beach stays in Koggala and Bentota.
This journey combines moderate to challenging cycling with rich cultural encounters, wildlife experiences, and comfortable accommodation throughout.
