Day 1 – Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan
Visit the pagan Temple of Garni and admire the spectacular Symphony of Stones basalt formations. Participate in a traditional lavash baking masterclass before continuing to Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site partially carved into the cliffs. Stop at scenic Azat Reservoir before returning to Yerevan.
Day 2 – Yerevan – Khor Virap – Angels’ Canyon – Areni – Noravank
Visit Khor Virap Monastery with stunning views of Mount Ararat. Hike through the dramatic landscapes of Angels’ Canyon. Explore Areni-1 Cave, home to the world’s oldest known winery, enjoy a wine tasting, and visit Noravank Monastery. Overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 3 – Cultural Experiences
Experience Armenian hospitality through hands-on masterclasses: cheese making, dolma preparation, gata baking, and seasonal harvesting. Share the meal you prepare with your hosts.
Day 4 – Syunik Region – Yerevan
Visit Zorats Karer (Armenian Stonehenge), Shaki Waterfall, and Khot village to experience the traditional Sheep Shearing Festival before returning to Yerevan.This memorable experience will serve as the grand finale of your journey through Southern Armenia, leaving you with lasting impressions of the region’s natural beauty, history, and authentic rural culture.
Day 5 – Departure
Transfer to the airport.
