Day 01
Arrival in Colombo at the Bandaranaike International Airport , met and welcome by a representative of Lanka Sportreizen and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay and dinner at the Catamaran Beach Hotel, Negombo
Day 02
After breakfast in the Hotel leave for Pilikuttuwa to visit the Ancient Temple which has with in its premises many caves and one of the oldest rock inscriptions found in Sri Lanka. Start Hiking for 1 ½ hours Terrain mainly consists of flat land with a few ups and downs with an approximate 50 meter altitude gain.Somewhat adventurous , occasionally slippery rock face initially and thereafter walking passing home gardens , paddy fields , a pineapple plantation along a foot path continuing on a concreted road and the last stretch on a tarred road . Visit the Maligatenna Rock Temple which is located on a hillock with a breathtaking view of the area surrounding it. (Hiking for 1 ½ hours on flat terrain with occasional ups and downs with in a 50 metre altitude gain passing home gardens , paddy fields , a pineapple plantation travelling along a foot path continuing on to a concreted road and the last stretch on a tarred road.) Continue to Kandy by road In the evening watch a Cultural Performance by Kandyan Dancers and Drummers including devotional “Fire Walking” Overnight stay and dinner at the Topaz Hotel, Kandy
Day 03
After breakfast leave for a City Tour including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha – by far the most important place of worship for Buddhists in Sri Lanka , the Royal Botanical Gardens , one of the best of its kind in Asia with more than 5000 species of different varieties of flora and the Upper Lake Drive , the place where the visors could have a bird’s eye view of the whole city. Transfer to Hotel in Oruthota in the afternoon. Overnight stay and dinner at the Oruthota Chalets, Teldeniya
Day 04
After breakfast transfer to Rangala by vehicle. Start Hiking for 4 hours to reach Corbett’s Gap through a Tea Plantation and passing a patch of Jungle– where one could have a 360 view of the surrounding areas Terrain mainly consists of flat land gradually moving up hill and then passing through a patch of jungles in the process gaining an altitude difference of 200 meters Travelling all along will be on a Jeep Track (Hiking for 4 hours on up hill terrain with occasional ups and downs with in a 200 metre altitude difference passing home gardens , Tea Plantation and a patch of Jungle travelling along a motorable road continuing on to a Jeep Track.) Transfer by van to Meemure , by far the remotest village in Sri Lanka. Relax in the best of nature Overnight stay and dinner at the Selected Home Stay , Memure
Day 05
After breakfast start Hiking for 5.5 hours to Sulugune which will be totally through nature. Terrain mainly consists initially of flat land passing home gardens /paddy fields and crossing a river gradually moving up hill with many ups and downs , sometimes steep climbs passing through a jungle with only the sound of the flowing water of the nearby river which runs parallel to the path in the process gaining an altitude loss of 250 meters Travelling will be on a Cart Track initially until crossing the river and then all along on a foot path (Hiking for 5.5 hours on flat terrain with ups and downs with in a 250 metre altitude loss passing home gardens ,paddy fields and a patch of Jungle travelling along a cart track continuing on a foot path.) Picnic Lunch en route Transfer by Tuk Tuk – Auto Rickshaws to the motorable road . Final transfer by vehicle to Mahiyangana Relax Overnight stay and dinner at the Kevan’s Casa Hotel, Mahiyangana
Day 06
After breakfast walk across to the Sorobora Wewa , one of the oldest man made reservoirs in Sri Lanka - unique because of its sluice gates carved out of solid rock. Continue to visit the Mahiyangana Ancient Temple , constructed at the place blessed by Lord Buddha during the first of his three visits to Sri Lanka , where the stupa was built enshrining the Hair Relics. Day 07
After breakfast leave for Dalhouise – the base of the Adam’s Peak – The Holy Mountain . En route visit a Tea Factory and plantation to witness the production of world famous”Ceylon Tea”before being sent to the Tea Auctions in Colombo and in the process taste the best Cup of Tea in your life. Relax Overnight stay and dinner at the Punsisi Hotel, Dalhouise
Day 08
As the day dawns around 2.00am start the Trek to reach the summit of the Adam’s Peak – the Holy Mountain which takes approximately 3 ½ hours Terrain mainly consists initially of flat land through a Tea Estate gradually moving up hill , sometimes very steep climbs in the process gaining an altitude of 950 meters Travelling will be on a Cart Track initially and thereafter more often on flights of steps made of both granite blockes and out of cement. (Trekking for3 1/2 hours initially on flat terrain with through a Tea Plantation and then uphill ascending using flights of steps through patches of Jungles travelling along a cart track to achieve an altitude gain of 950 meters.) Witness the spectacular Sunrise from the summit of the Peak Start the descend along the same route but more faster to finish it in 2 1/2 hours . Late breakfast at the Hotel OPTIONAL After breakfast start Hiking for 3 hours to the Gartmore Water Falls with in the Tea Plantation . Terrain mainly consists of flat land through Tea Bushes moving up hill with many ups and downs , Travelling will be on a Jeep Track and then all along on a foot path (Hiking for 3 hours on flat terrain with ups and downs with in a Tea Plantation travelling along Jeep Track continuing on a foot path.) Overnight stay and dinner at the Punsisi Hotel,Dalhouise
Day 09
After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya . Enjoy the natural beauty on this mountainous route passing the Water Falls – St. Claire’s and Devon. Relax Overnight stay and dinner at the Heaven Seven Hotel, Nuwara Eliya
Day 10
After breakfast leave for the Horton Plains, a part of Sri Lanka’s newly declared World Heritage Site of Central Highlands to gain an altitude of approximately 300 meters . start Hiking for 3 hours to the World’s End and continue to the Baker’s Falls. Terrain mainly consists of flat land through grasslands , jungle patches moving up hill with many ups and downs. Travelling will be on a Jeep Track and then all along foot paths at certain places (Hiking for 3 hours on flat terrain with ups and downs with in mainly grasslands , patches of jungles etc travelling along Jeep Track continuing foot paths.) Picnic Lunch en route Transfer by vehicles to Bandarawela Overnight stay and dinner at the Orient Hotel, Bandarawela
Day 11
After breakfast transfer to the Railway Station Travel for 50 minutes by downward Colombo bound train to Idalgashinna start Hiking for 4 hours to Haldummulla. Terrain mainly downhill through a Tea Plantation , a patch of wetzone jungle and a Pinus Plantation. Travelling will be mainly on a footpath , then a Jeep Track and a dilapidated flight of steps (Hiking for 4 hours mainly downhill through a Tea Plantation ,a patch of jungle and a Pinus Plantation travelling along foot paths and a Jeep Track resulting in an altitude loss of 600 meters.) Picnic Lunch en route Transfer by vehicle to Kuda Oya En route witness the beauty of the Diyaluma Water Falls and visit the Buduruwagala Rock Carvings Overnight stay and dinner at the LSR Cottages, Uva Kuda Oya
Day 12
Hike for about 1 hour in the area with in the flat terrain of the paddy fields absorbing fresh air. After late breakfast leave for the Sinharaja Rain Forest – a World Heritage Site . Engage in light walks around in the area as time permits for the rest of the day. Overnight stay and dinner at the Blue Magpie Hotel,Weddagala
Day 13
Breakfast in the Hotel In order to enjoy nature at its best , as a group or individually you may use time to hike around in the forest – the whole day is available. Lunch in the Hotel /Picnic Lunch Overnight stay and dinner at the Blue Magpie Hotel,Weddagala

After breakfast leave for Bentota via Matugama Relax Overnight stay and dinner at the Marina Hotel,Bentota
