Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival and Warm Welcome, welcome dinner
From the moment you arrive, your female guide will welcome you transfer to the hotel. Check in the hotel. Rest. **Depending on your arrival, you may have tours and end the day with a welcome dinner at a cozy local restaurant- Megerian Carpet. Here, you’ll witness the artistry behind Armenia’s world-renowned rugs, learning about the intricate process of weaving take part in rug weaving. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Matenadaran, Ararat Brandy, Yerevan city tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will start discovery of Yerevan, by visiting: Republic Square, Opera Square with Swan Lake, Northern Avenue, Abovyan Street with the "Armenian Belle Epoque" buildings, Cascade complex, a grand staircase with terraced gardens, Victory Park with the statue of "Mother Armenia" from where amazing view on all the city of Yerevan. Lunch at “Lavash” Restaurant.During the city tour you will visit Nrneni gourmet house, where you will find a wide variety of Armenian-made dry goods, chocolates, teas, honey, drinks, as well as handmade dishes.Next you will visit Matenadaran, one of the world’s oldest and most important repositories of ancient manuscripts. Then you will head to Ararat Brandy Factory in Armenia where you can try various types of Ararat brandy. You'll typically sample different aged varieties such as 3-year-old, 5-year-old. Memorable dinner at Ararat Pandook. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3. A Day of Armenian Heritage, Flavor, and creative masterclass
Breakfast at the hotel.You will head to the city of Ejmiatsin, Armenia’s spiritual heart. As you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by the serene atmosphere of Etchmiadzin Cathedral and museum, the oldest cathedral in Armenia and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Feel the sense of reverence and history as you explore this living monument to faith.Next, indulge in a hands-on culinary adventure with a Ghapama Masterclass. It’s a traditional Armenian dish. The aroma of the spices and the excitement of preparing this beloved family recipe will provide a true taste of Armenian culture and hospitality.After mastering the art of Ghapama, it's time to travel to the magnificent Zvartnots Temple, a unique and ancient structure that dates back to the 7th century. Return to Yerevan. Dinner at Sherep Pandook.
Day 4. Retreat program and relaxation
Breakfast at the hotel. After a couple of days filled with exploration, discovery, and cultural immersion, this day offers a perfect opportunity to unwind and recharge. Begin your day by immersing yourself in a retreat program that focuses on relaxation, wellness, and personal reflection. Whether it's a gentle yoga session, a guided meditation, or a wellness workshop, this day is all about nourishing your body, mind, and spirit․Today you will have special personalized meals. During the retreat, you may also enjoy rejuvenating spa treatments, such as soothing massages or old Armenian baths, to restore your energy. Overnight stay in Aya Maria.
Day 5. Garni, and Ghegardavank Monastery, plus Creative Masterclasses
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we will head towards the village of Garni. On the way, we will see Charents Arch, and admire the beauty of Mount Ararat. We will continue to discover one of the wonders of the Hellenistic era: the fortress and temple of Garni, which was erected in 77 AD. Afterwards, take a beautiful walk in the Gorge of Garni, which is famous for its formation of basaltic columns named "Symphony of Stones." Lunch will be in a private home, where you can participate in preparing Armenian traditional bread, "lavash." We will continue to visit the 13th-century Ghegardavank, the only rock-carved monastery in Armenia. After returning to Yerevan, we will set off on journey of discovery with a walk in the Vernissage, the arts and crafts market where you can admire the works of different craftsmen. Dinner at the local Restaurant. Overnight stay in Yerevan.
Day 6. Ararat Region, Famous Caves, Wine Region and Noravank Monastery
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head towards the Ararat Region located near the border with Turkey. The first stop is Khor Virap Complex, one of the holy places for all Armenians- the place of the origin of Christian Armenia. Then we will continue towards the famous winemaking region, Vayots Dzor renowned for its beautiful landscapes. On your way to Areni, you will stop at the factory of dried fruits have a coffee break. In Areni village we will visit "Hin Areni" wine factory to try some of their fine wines. (If you don't drink alcohol, we can adjust this activity.) Lunch at the local food court. Afterwards, we will visit Birds Cave, where the oldest wine cellar in the world was discovered, dating back to the 6th millennium BC. We will carry on to the mysterious Magelan Cave. Then we will head to Noravank Monastery built in a stunning red-rock canyon. Its situated in a completely isolated area on the slopes of a particularly wild valley. Return to Yerevan. Overnight stay in Yerevan.
Day 7. Departure. Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Visit local market Gum. Departure.
