Hungary’s Hidden Treasures by Bike

Day 1 – Eger

Arrival at Budapest/Debrecen Airport. Transfer to Eger, lunch, followed by a guided city tour. Discover the historic charm of the town, including the famous Eger Castle and the Baroque old town. Dinner and wine tasting in the Valley of Beautiful Ladies.

Overnight in Eger or nearby in a 4★ hotel.

Day 2 – Eger – Tiszafüred (Lake Tisza Cycling Tour)

Breakfast at the hotel, then travel to Lake Tisza, one of Hungary’s most distinctive natural areas. Enjoy a scenic cycling tour on flat, well-maintained paths through protected wetlands, reed beds and wildlife-rich habitats, with wooden bridges and lakeside panorama along the way. Cycle to a local cheese manufactory for a magnificent brunch, then take part in a hands-on cheese-making experience.

Dinner and overnight in Tiszafüred or Mezőkövesd in a 4★ hotel.

Day 3 – Tiszafüred – Tiszadob – Tokaj

Breakfast, then travel towards Tokaj with a stop at the fairy-tale like Andrássy Castle in Tiszadob. Lunch and sightseeing in Tokaj, followed by a bike tour for an exclusive wine tasting on Gombos Hill in the UNESCO Tokaj Wine Region. Sample outstanding Tokaji wines with Swabian-style homemade bacon, sausages, ham, artisanal cheeses, fresh vegetables, and oven-baked bread.

Dinner and overnight in Tokaj in a 4★ hotel.

Day 4 – Tokaj – Megyer-hegy Tarn – Boldogkőváralja

After breakfast, cycle to Megyer Hill, then swap two wheels for four and drive John Deere off-road vehicles to the breathtaking Megyer-hegy Tarn, Hungary’s most beautiful natural wonder. Adventurers can try via ferrata (optional) along dramatic rock walls, while others enjoy a 360° panoramic view from the lookout tower. Continue to visit Boldogkő Castle and enjoy a unique mediaeval lunch.

Transfer to Budapest/Debrecen Airport.
