#Day 1: Bucharest arrival – transfer to Black Sea coast (approx.250km)
Welcome to Romania! Wishes you the local guide at the international airport Otopeni. The drive to Black Sea will be a great opportunity to learn more about Romania’s history, culture and nowadays life. Check-in at your elegant hotel while enjoying a welcome drink.
#Day 2: Black Sea – spa day
Located on the shore of the Black Sea, in the resort of Eforie Nord, the award-winning Ana Hotels Europa 4****, recently modernized, welcomes its guests with lush gardens, spacious rooms featuring a new design and comfort, and a world-renowned spa center. Choose one or more therapies and experience a nice spa day.
#Day 3: Black Sea – Constanta tour (approx.50km)
In the morning, enjoy a spa therapy or maybe go for a walk on the beach. In the second part of the day, meet your guide and drive shortly to the Old Town of Constanta. Right next to the famous Roman “Lupa Capitolina” statue, you will discover the Folk Art Museum where you will be introduced into a brief architecture lesson of the “Brancovenesc” style, the only typical Romania architecture style. Inside of the museum there are about 16.000 exhibits from all the ethnographic regions of Romania.. Continue to the old city part of Constanta, at the Ovid Square, named so after the famous Roman poet, Ovid, exiled here by the Roman Emperor in 8 A.D. Passing by the Turkish Mosque you arrive at the Orthodox Cathedral, St. Peter and Paul, where you will be introduced in the world of the Orthodoxy. The sightseeing tour ends at the Casino, a beautiful building on a cliff directly at the Sea, with a beautiful view over the harbour of Constanta. Return to the hotel in Eforie Nord.
#Day 4: Black Sea – Histria and wine tasting (approx.150Km)
Today you will have the chance to learn more about the area by visiting Histria. The citadel is the most valuable asset of the Romanian national heritage from the Greek, Roman and Byzantine Ages. During its history of 14, Histria was connected to all the major events of the Greek, Roman and Byzantine world. It was one of the first Greek colonies founded in the basin of the Black Sea, being the oldest colony on the West coast. At the same time, Histria is the oldest urban structure on the Romanian territory. Continue the day with a stop at a small, local vineyard that stands out with fine wines produced only with natural yeasts. Enjoy a tasting of 3 wine and traditional cheese pie and maybe shop for wine at special rates to take back home. Return to Eforie Nord.
#Day 5: Black Sea
Enjoy time at leisure at the sea side.
#Day 6: Danube Delta (approx.280Km)
Depart in the morning towards the Danube Delta (8AM departure hour). After an approximately 2 hours of driving, you reach the small town Tulcea, named also “The Gate of the Danube Delta”. Board the excursion ships and start the exploration in the Danube Delta. The Danube Delta is the second largest delta in Europe after the Volga Delta and has the highest concentration of bird colonies in all of Europe. The maze of canals, willows, oaks, sand islands offer the perfect breeding ground for countless species of birds, some of them unique in Europe coming from China or Africa. Some 300 species of birds make Danube Delta their home; among them one can include the cormorants, the pelicans, the Arctic geese, swans, herons and more. Enjoy a typical lunch with fish specialties from the Danube Delta. After 5 hours and a half of sailing in this birds’ paradise you return to Tulcea, where you board again your comfortable coach and return to Eforie Nord.
#Day 7: Black Sea – Rasova - Departure (approx.250Km)
Before saying goodbay to Romania, visit one of the most elegant and modern wineries in the country. The Rasova vineyards are located in the sunny plateaus of Dobrogea, which along with the sandy soils and the breeze that comes from the River Danube, create a unique environment for producing excellent wines. Take a tour of the winecellar and see the production process and then taste a selection of 5 wine types. Afterwards, continue to Bucharest and farewell at the OTP airport.
