DAY 1. TASHKENT
Welcome to Uzbekistan! Uzbekistan, it means the land of Uzbeks. There are number of “Stans” in this part of the world, but the remarkable ones is Uzbekistan. Rich for its history, culture, crafts, and most important is people. Uzbekistan for centuries became a home of hundred nations, a home for Muslims, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, and Buddhists.
Arrival to Tashkent by International flight. After Immigration and customs clearance, you will be transferred to hotel. Check in and overnight in Tashkent.
DAY 2. TASHKENT – URGENCH – KHIVA
MEALS: Breakfast at the hotel. Late morning Check out from hotel. Meet your guide and driver for city tour.
Tashkent – The Capital of Uzbekistan, the cosmopolitan city, known as the center of The Silk Road culture: Khazrat Imam Complex and Museum of Islamic Books with the 7thcc Koran of Caliph Othman; The oldest Market of the city Chorsu Bazaar; Explore Modern Tashkent Metro; Independence Square, Duke Romanov Mansion; Amir Temur Square, and Monument of Courage; Transfer to Domestic Airport for the flight HY / US to Urgench as per timetable.
Arrival and transfer to Khiva, an ancient capital of Khorezm, 35km 1hr. Upon arrival check in to hotel. Overnight in Khiva.
DAY 3. KHIVA
MEALS: Breakfast at hotel. Guided Walking tour to the splendid historical UNESCO site – Itchan-Kala Complex: Muhammad Aminkhan Madrasah and Kalta Minar, Kunya Ark Citadel, Muhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah, Mausoleum of local Saint Pakhlavan Makhmud, and Shergazi khan Madrasah, Djuma Mosque, Minaret and Madrasah of Islam Khodja, Allakuli khan Madrasah and Caravan Saray, Tash Khauli Palace and Harem, City Walls and Gates; Enjoy free time to take a walk through the old streets visiting craftsman and observing local houses. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 4. KHIVA – BUKHARA 450km
MEALS: B Breakfast and check out from hotel. Start the journey to Bukhara through the Kyzyl-Kum desert, the second largest desert in Central Asia after Kara-Kum, 450km 6-7hrs. En-route a panoramic view over The Amu-Darya River. Late afternoon arrival to Bukhara, transfer for check in to hotel. Evening walk in the old city. Overnight in Bukhara.
DAY 5. BUKHARA
MEALS: B Breakfast at hotel. Walking Guided tour in Bukhara, the old center of culture and education. Explore one of the gems of architecture, the center of Mediaeval Education. The Ark Citadel – palace of rulers; Bolo-Khauz Mosque, with beautiful ayvan and columns; Kalon Minaret and Mosque, Mir-Arab Madrasah; Madrasah of Ulugbek and Abdulaziz khan, Magoki-Attor mosque, Trade domes: Sarrafon, Telpak Furushon, Zargaron and Abdullakhan; Lyabi-Khauz complex: Nadir-Divan Begi and Kukaldosh Madrasah; Time at leisure. Overnight in Bukhara.
DAY 6. BUKHARA
MEALS: B Breakfast at hotel. Today you are going to visit sights around Bukhara: Samanid Mausoleum, and Mausoleum of Chashma-Ayub,Summer Palace of last Emir’s of Bukhara – Sitorai Mokhi Khosa, Bahautdin Nakshband Complex, dedicated to Spiritual Patron of Bukhara.
Afternoon free time at old city markets. Overnight in Bukhara.
DAY 7. BUKHARA – SAMARKAND 280km
MEALS: Breakfast at hotel. Depart to Samarkand, the Capital of Tamerlane’s Empire, 280km 4-5hrs. First stop will be in Gizhduvan famous for its traditional Ceramics. Continue to Samarkand, arrival and check in to hotel.
Tour of the capital of the Great Empire of Tamerlane, city praised by Medieval poets and historians: Gur Emir mausoleum, the family vault of the Timurids, Registan Square consisting of Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillya Kari Madrasah, Return to hotel. Overnight in Samarkand.
DAY 8. SAMARKAND – SHAKHRISABZ – SAMARKAND
MEALS: Breakfast at hotel. Depart to Shakhrisabz on sedan/van, the birthplace of Tamerlane, 100km 2hrs. Road goes through the Mountains, the picturesque valley and mountains of Takhtakharacha Pass, Part of The Pamir Mountains. Stop at the top of the pass for view and photos.
Arrival and Tour visiting the magnificent architectural monuments of The Timurids: Entry Pylons of Remains of Ak-Saray palace of Tamerlane, Dorus Saodat complex, Mausoleum of Djehangir and Khazrat Imam Mosque; Dorut Tilovat complex: Kok Gumbaz Mosque and Mausoleum Gumbazi Saidon and Sheikh Shamsiddin Kulal.
Depart back to Samarkand. Evening visit to the monuments with illumination. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 9. SAMARKAND – TASHKENT 350km
MEALS: B Breakfast at hotel. Check out from hotel and continue guided tour in Samarkand – known as “Rome of the East”: Shakhi Zinda Complex, known for beautiful mosaic, majolica and terracotta decorations. Museum of Ulugbek observatory with the original instrument sextant, Silk Paper Workshop with 9thc technology and Oil Mills along with Ceramics Workshops; Afrosiab Archeology Museum, Grandeur Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Colorful Market – Siyab bazaar; XXX Transfer to Railway Station for High Speed Train to Tashkent as per timetable.
Arrival and transfer for Overnight in Tashkent.
DAY 10. TASHKENT
MEALS: Breakfast at hotel. Check out from hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight XXX. Check in for the flight.
