Day 1 Arrival in Stockholm:
Welcome to the capital of Sweden, a city that combines history, culture and modernity. Depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy a guided city tour that will show you the highlights of Stockholm, such as the Old Town, the Royal Palace and the City Hall. You will then be transferred to your hotel, where you will have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 2 Stockholm – Sundsvall:
After a delicious breakfast, you will head towards Sundsvall, a charming city on the east coast of Sweden. The historic city centre, known as Stenstan, is a well-preserved late 19th-century townscape rebuilt entirely in brick and stone after a large fire in 1888. Once in Sundsvall, you will visit Norra Berget, an open-air museum that showcases the traditional life and culture of the region. You will then check in to your hotel for the night and have some free time to explore Sundsvall on your own.
Day 3 Sundsvall – Örnsköldsvik:
Today you will continue your journey north to Örnsköldsvik, a coastal city that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the High Coast. The city is beautifully situated between the two city mountains Åsberget and Varvsberget, and from the centre, you are also close to the harbor and the water. Upon arrival in Örnsköldsvik we will have lunch together followed by a visit to Mannaminne, an all-artwork museum created by the artist Anders Åberg and his wife Barbro Åberg. The village has over 50 buildings, each with its own unique story and history. In the afternoon we will check in at our hotel, where we will stay for the following three nights.
Day 4 Örnsköldsvik – Skuleberget:
After breakfast, you will embark on an exciting adventure: ascending Skuleberget, a mountain that rises 295 meters above sea level. You will hike along a well-marked trail that will take you to the top of the mountain, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the High Coast and the Baltic Sea. At the top we will walk along Kalottstigen, a circular trail that offers a 360-degree panorama of the surroundings that offers many photo stops. We will enjouy lunch at Toppstugan, a cozy cabin that serves local delicacies. On our way back to the hotel, we will stop at Docksta shoe factory, where we will learn about the history and craftsmanship of Swedish shoes and buy some souvenirs.
Day 5 Örnsköldsvik – Skuleskogen / Ulvön:
Today we will explore one of the most beautiful and unique areas in Sweden: the national park Skuleskogen. This park is famous for its ancient forests, rich wildlife and geological wonders, such as Slåttdalsskrevan, a giant crevice that cuts through the mountain. You will hike along a scenic route with many attractions in the park, such as caves, waterfalls and viewpoints. In the afternoon, we will take a boat ride to Ulvön, an island that is known for its production of fermented herring, a traditional Swedish delicacy that has a strong smell and taste.
Day 6 Örnsköldsvik – Hudiksvall:
After breakfast we will start our journey towards Hudiksvall, on the way we will stop in Härnösand and visit Hernö distillery, an award-winning distillery that specializes in gin production. We will learn about the history and process of making gin and taste some of their products. In Hudiksvall, we will check in at our hotel and have dinner together.
Day 7:
The last day of the trip and we will head back to Stockholm after breakfast. You can either extend your stay in Stockholm or transfer to the airport or port for your home journey.
