Day 1 – Gökdepe & Ashgabat: Craft and Creation

Visit the village of Gökdepe to explore local workshops where women create traditional wool and silk carpets by hand. Guests will have the opportunity to try the weaving process themselves. Continue with a visit to a local jewelry artisan to discover traditional Turkmen craftsmanship and take part in a hands-on experience. In Ashgabat, visit the Carpet Museum and a local art gallery.

Day 2 – Mary & Ancient Merv: Art and Heritage

Travel to Mary and explore the UNESCO site of Ancient Merv. Continue with a visit to local representatives of the well-known Mary art school. Meet artists, learn about their distinctive style, and enjoy the opportunity to purchase artworks directly from the creators.

Day 3 – Dashoguz & Köneürgenç: Craft Traditions

Travel to Dashoguz and visit the UNESCO site of Köneürgenç. Meet a local clay artisan working with traditional techniques and creating unique artistic pieces. Learn about the process and explore locally made works before departure.
