 A breathtaking Experience

Sometimes the most memorable journeys are the ones that perfectly combine luxury, authentic experiences, and meaningful connections. Our recent LCC Fam Trips with our trusted DMC Amazaing Africa through South Africa did exactly that, bringing together travel professionals for an unforgettable showcase of the country’s extraordinary event and incentive potential — from the rolling vineyards of the Cape Winelands to the untamed beauty of the Greater Kruger region.

Over the course of six immersive days, the groups experienced firsthand how South Africa effortlessly blends world-class hospitality, unique venues, exceptional gastronomy, and once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounters into truly remarkable incentive experiences.

"The trip to South Africa with Amazing Africa Lufthansa City Center was an unforgettable experience...

With great attention to detail and daily surprises featuring exceptional activities, Amazing Africa Lufthansa City Center truly lived up to its name.

It often felt like stepping out of my comfort zone, followed by a 'I’m so glad I did it.'
Whether it was riding a Segway through the vineyards, taking a speedboat ride, or doing a herb tasting—there was a bit of everything. South Africa has captured my heart."

Step into the travel stories of our three groups

Day 1 began with a warm welcome to the international LCC agents upon arrival in Johannesburg, followed by an immersive start with a visit to Soweto, where the group explored the township by Tuk Tuk and enjoyed a traditional lunch at Lebo’s Backpackers. The day concluded with dinner at Nelson Mandela Square and an opportunity to connect.

From there, the experience continued in Cape Town with a transfer to Franschhoek, where the group explored the town and enjoyed lunch and wine tasting at Rickety Bridge Estate. In the afternoon, they travelled on to Stellenbosch for check in at Bonne Esperance Guesthouse, ending the day with a relaxed dinner in town.

The programme then took the group deeper into the Cape Winelands at Boschendal, combining a site inspection with a laid back vineyard picnic and wine tasting. The day closed with a traditional braai dinner at Rhône Homestead, accompanied by live music in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 2 continued with a strong focus on experience and diversity across regions. The journey towards the Kruger region included a stop at Alzu, where the group spotted wildlife such as rhinos and buffalo before arriving at Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge. After lunch, the group enjoyed a scenic sundowner overlooking the bushveld, followed by dinner at the lodge.

At the same time, the programme in the Cape Winelands focused on sustainability and culture, starting with a vintage car transfer to Avondale Wine Estate for an eco wine safari. After a farm to table lunch at Faber, the group continued with the Fynbos Experience in Wellington and ended the day with a refined fine dining dinner at Arum.

Meanwhile, another part of the journey led into the vast landscapes of the Karoo at Rogge Cloof Private Nature Reserve, where the group explored the remote surroundings, discovered fossil fields from the Permian era and experienced guided cheetah tracking. Clear night skies and stargazing became a highlight of this unique setting.

Day 3 brought together a mix of light adventure, scenic highlights and shared experiences across regions. In the Cape, the day began with a Segway tour at Spier Wine Farm before continuing on to Cape Town. In the evening, all groups came together for sunset cocktails on Signal Hill, followed by an immersive dinner experience at GOLD Restaurant.

At the same time, the programme near Kruger started early with a visit to the Panorama Route, including the Three Rondavels, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. After a scenic lunch, the afternoon was at leisure before the day concluded with a lively boma dinner under the African sky.

In the afternoon, the groups experienced an exciting game drive with sightings of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes and wild dogs, before ending the day with dinner and reflections by the fire.

Meanwhile, the groups on the Garden Route adjusted their journey due to weather conditions and travelled along Route 62 towards Oudtshoorn. After visiting an ostrich farm, they checked into Surval Boutique Olive Estate and enjoyed an olive tasting experience. The planned visit to the Cango Caves was not possible due to the updated routing.

Day 5 marked a day of transitions and new highlights across regions. In the bush, the groups flew to Hoedspruit and arrived at Kapama Private Game Reserve, where the experience shifted fully into safari mode. The afternoon included the first game drive, followed by a unique dinner set in the wine cellar.

At the same time, other groups began the day with an early morning safari, featuring memorable sightings such as a lioness with her cubs. After breakfast, they continued to Kruger International Airport and flew on to Cape Town, where they checked into the President Hotel.

Meanwhile, the groups travelling along the Garden Route returned to Cape Town via Route 62, with a short stop in Barrydale. In the city, a joint LCC gathering on Signal Hill brought all groups together for networking with views over Cape Town, followed by dinner at GOLD Restaurant. Final Reflections: South Africa as a World-Class Incentive Destination

Over six remarkable days, the fam trip revealed the immense diversity South Africa offers for all markets: sophisticated cities, award-winning gastronomy, breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural experiences, luxurious accommodation, and world-renowned safari encounters — all within one seamless itinerary.

From vineyard picnics and storytelling experiences in the Winelands to sunset cocktails overlooking Cape Town and unforgettable wildlife moments in the Greater Kruger, every experience demonstrated how South Africa continues to deliver incentive travel that is both deeply authentic and exceptionally memorable.

Most importantly, the journey reminded everyone why experiential travel remains so powerful: it creates connection, inspires curiosity, and leaves lasting impressions long after the journey ends.
