The first destination of this tour leads us to the picturesque Cypriot village of Omodos, renowned across Cyprus for its traditional charm. Here, the skilled women of the village have honed the art of delicate embroidery for centuries, creating exquisite decorative pieces ranging from tablecloths and quilts to doilies and lace.
Next, we'll visit Troodos Square, a bustling cobbled street square adorned with market stalls offering a wide array of souvenirs, traditional sweets, rose products, dried fruits (without added sugar), beverages, clothing, footwear, and more! Enjoy some free time here for shopping and savoring coffee while soaking in the incredible view.
Our journey then takes us to the beloved Kakopetria village. Its beautiful central square, shaded by towering plane trees, hosts charming coffee shops where you can indulge in the area's homemade sweets. During winter, gather around the fireplace for a cozy experience. We'll explore the famous 18th-century watermill and take a stroll along the Clarios River, surrounded by Cyprus's stunning natural beauty. You'll have free time for coffee or an optional lunch.
On our return to Limassol, we'll make a stop at Lania village, nestled in the hills of Limassol's wine-making region. Besides wine production, the locals also craft olive oil. Discover Lania's traditional olive press, featuring large circular stones next to the church, symbolizing the village's historical oil-making practices. Witness the modernization of oil production, now mechanized through the use of internal combustion engines.
