Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring the narrow streets of the Old Quarter.
Day 2: Hanoi – Suoi Giang – Nghia Lo
Drive into the Northwest mountains. Stop for a tea tasting in the Hmong lands of Suoi Giang, then take a scenic downhill hike into the Nghia Lo valley before relaxing at your lodge's pool. (B&L)
Day 3: Nghia Lo – Khau Pha Pass – Mu Cang Chai
Drive over Khau Pha, one of the region's highest passes. Enjoy a community cooking class and home-hosted lunch in a local valley, followed by a panoramic afternoon hike. (B&L)
Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – La Pan Tan – Sapa
Explore the steep, terraced landscapes of La Pan Tan on the back of a local's scooter. After a Hmong home-hosted lunch, drive over the spectacular O Quy Ho Pass and check in at the Topas Ecolodge in Sapa. (B&L)
Day 5: Sapa (Half-Day Cycling)
Cycle through the Hoang Lien National Park to visit the Red Dao villages of Lech and Ban Moi, where you will learn about their traditional embroidery and daily life. (B)
Day 6: Sapa (Full-Day Trekking)
Trek off the beaten path through high mountains and deep valleys to remote Red Dao communities (Sin Chai, Nam Nhiu, and Nam Cang). Discover local crafts like rice paper making and silver jewelry before returning to the lodge.(B&L)
Day 7: Sapa – Hanoi
Enjoy a leisurely morning by the lodge's pool or taking a final walk. In the afternoon, board the 5-hour shuttle bus back to your hotel in Hanoi. (B)
Day 8: Hanoi – Nha Trang (Whale Island)
Fly from Hanoi to Nha Trang. Upon arrival, transfer to the pier and take a boat to the secluded Whale Island Resort to check in. (B)
Days 9–12: Whale Island Resort
Spend four full days at your leisure. Unwind on the private beach, swim, snorkel, or enjoy the resort's marine activities in the tranquil bay. (B)
Day 13: Nha Trang – Departure
Take the boat back to the mainland and transfer to the Nha Trang airport for your onward flight. (B)
