4D/3N Yuruma (Madidi National Park)

Madidi and Pampas are among the best locations to find wildlife in Bolivia.

Day 1. Friday Rurrenabaque – Yuruma (Madidi National Park)

At the designated time, pick you up from the airport / hotel / bus station and transfer you to the port of Rurrenabaque. We begin our adventure navigating the Beni and Tuichi rivers, where the last Andean foothills meet the Amazon rainforest. During the journey, we will cross the imposing Bala Canyon before entering Madidi National Park.

After 4-5 hours of navigation, we will take a gentle 30-minute hike along the Wabu Trail, arriving at the Yuruma Refuge, located on the shores of the stunning Santa Rosa Lake.

Accommodation will be in hanging tents, a unique experience that allows you to sleep suspended among the trees, or in an eco-cabin.Depending on the departure time from Rurrenabaque, lunch will be served either en route or at the Yuruma Refuge after arrival.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided hike along the Lucachi Trail, visiting macaw nesting areas and observing endemic wildlife of Madidi.

Dinner and a night walk to discover the life that awakens in the jungle as night falls. Included: Overnight in tree-tent cabin, lunch and dinner, bilingual guide.

Day 2 Saturday Yuruma (Madidi National Park)

The day begins with the sounds of the rainforest. Breakfast.

A 3-hour hike along the Tejón Trail, traversing a primary forest over 300 years old, learning about ancient trees, medicinal plants, and the wildlife that inhabits this ecosystem.

After lunch, time to relax by the lake.

In the afternoon, activities on Lake Santa Rosa: a canoe trip, swimming, and traditional piranha fishing, surrounded by a serene and almost untouched landscape. 

In the evening, dinner and a cultural talk, where local guides share stories, knowledge, and Amazonian legends. Included: Overnight in tree-tent cabin, breakfast, lunch and dinner, bilingual guide

Day 3. Sunday Yuruma (Madidi National Park) – Rurrenabaque

We wake up once again to the wonderful sounds of the rainforest. Breakfast.

We explore the trails again, delving deeper into the relationship between the indigenous communities and the rainforest, its traditional uses, and its importance for conservation.

Lunch and rest time.

Return to Rurrenabaque. We will hike along the Wabu Trail to the port to catch the boat back to Rurrenabaque, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours. 

Arrival and transfer to the hotel (dinner this evening is not included). Included: Hotel night, breakfast and lunch and bilingual guide

Day 4. Monday Rurrenabaque

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport. Included: Breakfast and bilingual guide
