Day 1/3: Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge – Northern Drakensberg

Begin your adventure beneath the dramatic Sentinel Peak, surrounded by rugged mountain landscapes and sweeping views across the Northern Drakensberg.

Day 2–3: Tugela Falls & Amphitheatre Hiking Experience

Embark on a two-day hiking adventure through the Northern Drakensberg, ascending the iconic chain ladders onto the spectacular Amphitheatre escarpment. Camp beside the Tugela River near the escarpment edge and experience the beauty of Tugela Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the world.

Day 4/7: Cathedral Peak Hotel – Central Drakensberg

Continue into the Central Drakensberg, where towering peaks and dramatic scenery create the perfect setting for your next mountain adventure.

Day 5–7: Cathedral Peak Hiking Experience

Set out on a three-day, two-night hiking journey through the heart of the Drakensberg. Follow scenic trails through valleys and mountain passes, ascend Cathedral Peak and enjoy breathtaking views while immersed in the region’s remarkable landscapes.

Day 8–11: Fairlight Beach House – Umdloti

End your journey with a few peaceful days by the coast, enjoying ocean views and time to unwind.

Please note: Every driver must hold a valid international driving license or a certified translation of their German driving license, as well as a credit card (cash or debit cards are not accepted). Cross-border rentals require prior authorization, which must be indicated at the time of booking.

Recommended travel period:

Spring (April - May) and Autumn (Sep - Oct) for hiking in Drakensberg. Winter can get extremely cold with sub zero temperatures and summers very hot.
