D2 Lake Balaton is out there to enjoy: the obvious choice is to bath, but you can rent a SUP or even a skipper to explore the lake. Georgikon Sample Farm is a place to get first-hand experiences about conscious gardening, taking care of animals, traditional agricultural methods, folk art and plays for at least 200 years ago. Let your children collect eggs directly, give some corn to baby ducks, harvest and taste fresh green peas or get familiar with the scent of thyme, rosemary, or oregano.
D3 Keszthely is famous for the lavishly decorated Festetics Castle, where the fashion icon Lady Hamilton spent her best time. Do not miss the curiosities like Carriage Museum or the amazing Model Railways Exhibition. Keszthely has some nice restaurants around the castle park offering unique cuisine having deep roots in local culinary traditions, easy to love comfort foods with a contemporary twist.
