Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu
After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi by road, passing coffee country and Mount Kenya views to Nanyuki and the Equator. Continue via Isiolo and Archer's Post into Samburu. Arrive for lunch, then set out on your first afternoon game drive for Samburu's Special Five, elephants and big cats. End with a sundowner.

Day 3: Samburu – Koros Camp
After breakfast, leave Samburu and continue north towards South Turkana. The landscape shifts from savannah to volcanic rock, desert, and vast skies. Arrive at Koros Camp in the remote South Horr Valley and settle in before a quad-bike adventure through dry riverbeds. Ride to a scenic sundowner spot. Return to camp for an outdoor dinner.

Day 4: Southern Turkana
After an early breakfast, head from Koros Camp towards Lake Turkana. As the desert opens, the jade waters of the lake appear. Visit the southeastern shores for a boat excursion, exploring the water and volcanic shoreline. Look for birdlife and crocodiles, then meet an El Molo community to learn about their culture and fishing. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the Jade Sea. Later, switch to fly-camping: sleep in a lightweight tent under the stars.

Day 5: Southern Turkana – Samburu
After breakfast, leave Koros Camp and journey south to Samburu. The landscape changes from volcanic desert to open plains and riverine country. Arrive for lunch, then experience the reserve on a guided nature walk, noticing animal tracks, plants, birdlife and the dryland ecology.

Day 6: Samburu – The Ark, Aberdares
After breakfast, leave Samburu and travel south to the Aberdares. The dry northern plains turn greener as you climb into Kenya's central highlands, giving way to misty forest. Arrive at Aberdares Country Club for lunch, then transfer into Aberdares National Park and on to The Ark. Settle beside the forest waterhole and watch wildlife emerge to drink. After dark, the floodlit waterhole reveals nocturnal activity.

Day 7: The Ark – Nairobi
After breakfast, leave The Ark and drive back to Nairobi. Head to Karen for lunch, then explore the Karen Blixen Museum, including the former farmhouse, gardens and the story of one of Kenya's most famous literary figures. Enjoy dinner at Carnivore. Return to the hotel before your journey to Lamu.

Day 8: Nairobi – Lamu
Depart Nairobi for Lamu by scheduled flight. On arrival at Manda Airport, cross by boat to Shela and settle into island life. Spend the afternoon at Shela Beach: walk the white sands, explore the dunes or swim in the Indian Ocean. Later, board a traditional dhow for a sunset sail between Lamu and Manda Islands. Return to Shela for dinner.

Day 9: Lamu
Begin by exploring the narrow streets of Lamu Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site shaped by Swahili, Arab and Indian influences. Wander its maze-like lanes with a local guide, discovering carved doors, historic buildings, markets and landmarks such as Lamu Fort and the Swahili House Museum. Enjoy a coastal lunch, then visit the ancient Takwa Ruins on Manda Island. End with a sundowner.

Day 10: Lamu – Nairobi – Departure
Enjoy a slower final morning on the island. Start with an optional open-air yoga session in Shela, then explore the village's boutiques and craft shops. Pick up locally made kikoys, leather sandals and handcrafted souvenirs before transferring by boat to Manda Airport. Fly back to Nairobi for your connecting flight home.
