Optional Evening Experience: Michinoku Matsuriya Show at Aomoriya by Hoshino Resorts We highly recommend attending the Michinoku Matsuriya Show, one of the signature experiences at Aomoriya. This vibrant performance brings the spirit of Aomori’s famous festivals to life through powerful taiko drumming, giant illuminated Nebuta festival floats, energetic haneto dancers, and traditional music. The show is entirely visual and immersive, making it easy to enjoy regardless of language ability. Guests are even invited to participate, creating a memorable and interactive cultural experience. An excellent introduction to the traditions of northern Japan, the Michinoku Matsuriya Show is a perfect way to spend your first evening in Aomori and gain a deeper appreciation of the region’s unique culture. Booking note: Must be reserved in advance — ideally when booking the hotel. Reservations should be handled at the time of hotel booking.
