DAY01:Arrival Transfer

On arrival at Muscat airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel.

DAY02:Muscat City Tour [04 hrs]

Grand Mosque, Mutrah Souq, and Al Alam Palace

08:30 AM: Meet the guide at the hotel lobby and proceed to the city tour of Muscat. Visit Grand Mosque, one of the of the architectural marvel of Oman. Drive past the Royal Opera House to the old part of Muscat which was once called the district of Muscat. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum a private museum exhibiting the cultural and tradition of Oman’s by gone era.

Later, you have photo stop at Al Alam palace, Jalali and Mirali forts. Stroll through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items. After the tour you will be transferred back to hotel. Afternoon leisure and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Muscat.

 

DAY03: Nizwa - Jabrin - Bahla

Forts, Souq & Cas

Arrival via Road approx. 2 hours 30 minutes from Muscat

08:30 AM: Check out from the hotel & start your roundtrip with our guide. Drive to the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital. You visit the powerful Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Souq. Then you proceed to Jabrin castle built in 17th century is one of the finest of its kind. Its magnificent plasterwork, the carved doors and the painted wooden beams of the ceilings makes this castle amazingly different. Thereafter, continue to Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. Only a photo stop is planned at the monumental fort. Bahla is also famous for its Pottery. After the tour we check in at the hotel and overnight stay will be at a hotel in Nizwa.

 

DAY04: Nizwa - Sharqiya Sands

Arrival via Road approx. 3 hours 0 minutes from Nizwa, Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, Oman

Bedouin House visit, Sunset watching & Dune Bashing

08:30 AM: Morning check out from the Hotel and you will drive to Sharqiya Sands, a vast mass of undulating sea of red and white sand dunes. It is also host to a variety of flora and fauna. Here, we will have sand dune ride in our Land cruiser (4WD), more so, as we go deeper and deeper into the sands of Sharqiya. The whole area is breath taking, and has scattered habitations of the Bedouin and their camels moving about. Evening dune bashing followed by sunset watching and will be dropped back at the camp.

DAY05: Wadi Bani Khalid - Sur - Ras Al Jinz

Arrival via Road approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Natural Oasis Wadi Bani Khalid visit, Dhow Factory visit & Turtle watching

08:30 AM: Check out & drive to Sur and on the way we will visit Wadi Bani Khalid which is considered as one of the most beautiful wadi’s in Oman. The drive to Wadi Bani Khalid is through the Eastern Hajar Mountains, which offers a panoramic view of landscape below. We pass many pretty villages embedded in the mountains. Here the road winds down to the wadi along- side a large, shallow pool fringed with vegetation and ends at a village. We park our vehicles at this point and continue on a short trek to the deep blue pools of the wadi. Enjoy a swim in this glorious grace of nature.

Next, we continue our drive towards Sur. Once, this coastal town was famous for dhow building. Dhow is the famous Arabian sea-going ships. You will visit the dhow building shipyard. Later you will be dropped at the hotel in Sur. Leisure in the after-noon and after an early dinner (own cost) you will visit the turtle sanctuary at Ras Al Jinz 60Kms away from Sur, where at night the Green Turtles, after a journey of thousands of kilometers will come ashore to lay their eggs. You then return to the hotel.

DAY06: Wadi Shab - Bimah Sinkhole - Muscat

Arrival via Road approx. 3 hours 0 minutes from Sur, Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, Oman

Wadi Shab, Bimah Sinkhole

08:30 AM: Check out from the hotel and drive back to Muscat along the scenic coastal route. The road winds along the rugged coast, through beautiful valleys, and past white sandy beaches with breathtaking views. Further, you drive to Wadi Shab, reroute you will see lush villages surrounded with dates, lemon & mango plantations. It is one of the most beautiful wadis, and their pool with clear deep blue water gives you an opportunity to take a refreshing dip.

Later on the way back to Muscat, through the coastal road you will stop at the limestone Sinkhole in Bimah, and then continue to Fins Beach. Drop back to Muscat by late evening.

DAY07: Departure Transfer

Today after check out from the hotel you will be dropped off to Muscat International Airport for your onward journey.

Please note: Muscat hotels standard check out time is at 12 noon.

To enter Grand mosque dress code for Ladies should be fully covered with scarf and wear full sleeves shirt and Men are not allowed to wear shorts. Grand Mosque is open Saturday – Thursday from 0800 Hrs - 1100 Hrs.

 

Local Customs and General Conditions: Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles. Before Photographing any local residents, kindly ask their permission. Photographing local ladies is not permitted (Nizwa & Jabrin forts are open Saturday–Thursday: 0900 – 1600 & Friday: 08 00–1100). Standard Check in & Check out time.
