Rwanda offers some of the best gorilla trekking safaris in the world, set against the backdrop of its endless green hills & soaring mountainsides. DAY01:
Upon your arrival at 0700am, the driver will pick you up from the airport and drive you directly to Virungas National Park. Enroute, you can stop somewhere to have breakfast.
The drive is approx. 3 hours from Kigali airport until the lodge.
Later check in at Five volcanoes Boutique hotel on Full board basis-VIP COTTAGE (Here at the lodge you will have lunch as well as dinner). Day is at leisure, to rest and unwind.


DAY02:
After your breakfast in the morning the driver will pick you from the hotel at 06.30AM to take you to the Rwanda Development board office for briefing and here you will be assigned a gorilla family. You will trek and depending on the gorilla family, the trek may last anywhere between 2 – 6 hours. Post trek you will return back at the hotel to freshen up, have a hot lunch and then return back to Kigali by late evening.

DAY03:
Post breakfast at drive to Nyungwe forest. You will leave by 0800am early enough to be able to reach by lunchtime at Nyungwe forest. Before heading to the hotel – you will stop at Uwinka center do the canopy walk and later head to the hotel for check in at Nyungwe House by One & Only – NYUNGWE ROOM Hotel on full board basis.
The drive time to Nyungwe is approx. 5 hours from Kigali with a lot of windy roads so I suggest light breakfast .

DAY04:
Early morning head to chimpanzee trek. Depending on where the family is found this may start as early as 0400am. Later head back to the hotel for freshening up and a hot breakfast, check out and head back to Kigali.
Enroute you will stop at Butare ( approx. 2 hours from Nyungwe ) to visit the ethnographic museum and have hot lunch there and then drive back to Kigali (another 2.5 to 3 hours drive).

DAY05:
Day at leisure and city tour this day
Kigali Genocide Memorial
The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. It honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. Once here you will learn about The ’94 Genocide against Tutsi, and the overall history of Rwanda including the pre-colonial and post-colonial. You will also get a chance to learn about the genocides and other mass killings that have happened all over the world, at the end of the visit you will have a chance to pay respect to the mass grave that hold more than 250,000 victims.
Lunch at Afrika Bite
Afrika bite is one of the best restaurant when it comes down to local cuisine, it offers a buffet with a big variety on local food.
Post lunch you will can head for shopping at the art& craft center and evening at leisure.
Inema Art Gallery Center
One of the most prominent Art Galleries in the country, it has some of the brightest artist in the country displayed, you will get a tour inside the gallery as well as an explanation of how it was born, with most of the artist being present at the time you will get a chance to learn about their paintings, the meaning and the inspiration from them.
Caplaki
Caplaki which is a must visit for souvenirs shopping, is a cooperation of multiples artisans who came up with a market to better reach the customers. There is a wide variety of souvenirs objects for all, with multiple shops, you will have unlimited choices.

DAY06:
Rest this day and later post lunch check in at the airport for your onward flight back .
