City trip meets nature adventure! Explore the contrasts between the historic cities Dresden and Meissen (with a visit to the porcelein manufactory) and the wilderness of Savon Switzerland with the fortress Koenigstein. The tour is rounded up with a boat trip from Pillnitz back to Dresden.
DAY 01:
Arrival to Dresden
You reach the city in the afternoon and move into the rooms of the booked hotel. Dinner together and overnight.
DAY 02:
Dresden - Meissen
After breakfast, the tour guide will welcome you and accompany you on a 3-hour combined city tour and tour through Dresden. During the tour through the historic city center you will see the Theater Square with the Semper Opera House and cathedral, the Italian village and the Residenzschloss, the Zwinger or Zwingerhof, the Fuerstenzug and the Neumarkt with the Frauenkirche. During the tour through Dresden's Old and New Town you will see, among other things, the City Hall, the Hygiene Museum, view of the Elbe castles and the famous "White Hart", the "Blue Wonder", villa district Blasewitz, stop at Pfund`s Dairy, Albertplatz and Barockviertel. After an individual lunch, drive to Meissen. A small city tour through the idyllic Meissen with a visit to the castle hill and a visit to the world-famous porcelain manufactory Meissen. In the late afternoon, you will be invited to a wine tasting in a quaint eatery in Meissen. Possibility for dinner (fak.). In the late evening return to the hotel.
DAY 03:
Saxon Switzerland with fortress Königstein
Today, your journey takes you to the beautiful Saxon Switzerland. First there is a guided tour in the Bastei area to the most beautiful vantage points with a view of the nearly 200 meters lower flowing Elbe, to the Tafelbergen and into the canyons of the national park. Opportunity to walk over the stone Bastei bridge. The journey continues via Hohenstein and Bad Schandau to the fortress Koenigstein. Already in the 13th century, a castle was built on the 360-meter high mountain plateau. During the tour you will see u.a. the well house, the treasure house, the reconstructed garrison church and the barrel cellar. Continue along the Saxon Wine Route to Pillnitz with a guided tour of the castle park. Your guests can see the pleasure garden, the French garden with the gondola of the Saxon court and the English garden. The return to Dresden takes place with a paddle steamer from Pillnitz through the Elbe Valley to Dresden. Enjoy the landscape from a different angle. For dinner, we recommend closing the day in one of the famous vaulted cellars in Dresden. We gladly reserve this for you. After an eventful day return to the hotel and overnight.
