Chamarel 7 Coloured Earth is one of the most iconic places of interest in Mauritius
This unique geological happening in the middle of the lush vegetation will amaze you. The geopark has about
15metres of highly colored dunes with distinct colors of red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow. The reserve is also home to giant tortoises and the Chamarel Waterfalls. Three distinct streams plunge down almost 100 meters from the St. Denis River, down into the gorge. The sight of this impressive waterfall against the scenic forests and mountains is truly breathtaking.
Rhumerie de Chamarel is situated in the South West part of Mauritius, in the heart of a fertile valley lies the which is surrounded by vast sugarcane plantations growing in harmony with pineapples and other tropical fruits. The Rhumerie de Chamarel Distillery welcomes visitors for an all encompassing tourism experience by a guided visit of the distillery and rum tasting.
