CHIN HILL Mt Victoria of 3400 meter high is the perfect place for nature lovers. Soft trekking, butterfly and bird watching are available. The old tradition of tattooing face is fading fast but still can be seen in some villages. Roads are still in poor condition so this excursion is not recommended for rainy season (May to Sep ).
DAY01: Arrive Yangon (by afternoon flight)
Welcome to the Garden City Yangon.
Meet on arrival at Yangon Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Here, we would like to reserve enough time for you to take a good rest that you may need after a long tedious flight.
In the evening, visit the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats! At sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon
DAY02: Yangon – Bagan (by AM flight)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bagan. On arrival at Nyaung Oo airport, before check-in at the hotel, direct visit to Nyaung Oo colourful Market, Shwezigon Pagoda; a prototype of later Myanmar stupa. Then, to Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural pain-tings of Jataka scenes. After that transfer to hotel for check-in.
Afternoon sightseeing tour continues to a lacquer ware industry and study the way of making lacquerware. In Myanmar, the origins of the lacquer seems to come from Bagan about 12th - 13th century. And then, visit to Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king's impression of life in prison, Nanpaya; an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings, Ananda Temple; an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross and Shwesandaw Pagoda for the beautiful sunset. DAY03: Bagan – Kanpatlet (by Car)
Our Guide will pick you up at the hotel in the morning. And, depart to Kampatlet by car about 7 hours, on the way stop at Chauk and visit to market, then driving to Kazunma village, where we have a picnic lunch, then continue driving to Kanpetlet base camp of Mt. Victoria. Arrive Kanpatlet, in the evening the clients can start to see a few Chin women with tattooed face in Kanpetlet, drive to hotel and overnight at Mt Oasis in Kanpatlet, (B)
DAY04: Kanpatlet – Mt.Victoria – Kanpelet (Trekking)
After breakfast, in the morning visit to Kanpetlet market and then drive to 10 Miles Camp, the car park halfway up the mountain, which is the nearest destination approaching to MOUNT VICTORIA, start the trekking to Summit, on the way pass the Natma Taung National Park and observing rare wild mammal, attractive 202 residential birds species including 5 endemic species. Arrive 10 Miles camp by car and then start the Trekking to the summit of Mt. Victoria (3.5 miles to the peak) about 45 minutes to one hour. Once you leave the somber forest behind you will be greeted by a scenery of slopes dotted with tall pines and beautiful Taungzalet (Rhododendron) trees. After enjoying a picnic as well as the panoramic view with the mountain ranges of India in the distance, descent back to 10miles Camp. Back to Kanpatlet. Overnight at Mt. Oasis in Kanpatlet, (B)
DAY05: Kanpatle – Mindat (Trekking)
After breakfast, Morning drive to Mindat; the beautiful town of Chin State and it is located 4860 feet above Sea Level., on the way photo stop at Aye Village, about 7000feet above Sea Level. The road to Mindat is through the steep Hills and it takes much time to drive, arrive Mindat in the late afternoon, visit in Mindat; see with Chin Woman wearing big earrings, listen to the sounds of flutes played by nose and chin traditional weaving house. Overnight at Mt. Oasis in Mindat, (B)
DAY06: Mindat (Trekking)
After breakfast, today’s excursion includes a short visit to down town with some colonial style houses and Wine making in local way. Further you will go to some Chin Villages near Mindat to observe the traditional way of living. They earn their living by hunting and farming in the mountain. You have the chance to see the famous Chin Women with tattooed faces, a fading tradition. In the afternoon, return to Mindat. Short trekking to some Chin villages around Mindat. Overnight at Mt. Oasis in Mindat, (B)
Day 07 – Mindat – Bagan (by Car)
After breakfast, after exploring the morning in Mindat drive back to Bagan by private double cab. On arrival Bagan, transfer to the hotel and stay free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan, (B)
DAY08: Bagan – Yangon (by AM flight)
After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, visit some major highlights like Gaba Aye (World Peace) pagoda and Mahapasana Cave, Sule Pagoda, City Hall, High Court and many colonial buildings and Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city, and visit Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft.
Evening visit to Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha's hair relic and have a stroll near the jetty. Overnight in Yangon, (B)
DAY09: Departure
ABF proceed by and stay free at leisure at your hotel.
Then, transfer to the airport for your departure flight, (B)
