The wedding certificate issued to you after the ceremony is legally recognized internationally and it is issued in five languages.

Symbolic Wedding

Weddings consist of a blessing or a renewal of vows and are suggested for couples who only wish to exchange their personal and intimate wows and have no time to produce the paperwork required for the legalization of the wedding. Catholic weddings in Italy are only possible in Catholic Churches or Chapels as they need to take place in consecrated grounds and can only be celebrated when one of the parties is of catholic religion. It is not possible to have a catholic wedding outside a church or a chapel. In the case of one of the parties being divorced after a previous Catholic Wedding, the Catholic Church will NOT allow you to remarry in church unless you have an annulment of your previous marriage recognized by the Catholic Authorities. Catholic Weddings in Italy can also be legally binding if the legal paperwork are also provided for the civil side.

Protestant weddings can take place in a protestant church or a wide range of private venues for example villas, castles, gardens, terraces, hotels, outdoors or indoors etc. Protestant weddings in Italy can be either a religious blessing or we can provide a Minister or Pastor who will perform a civil and protestant ceremony simultaneously. In this last case the Minister or Pastor will perform, as a Public Magistrate, a Protestant ceremony with civil validity according to the Italian Law which is recognized worldwide. One of the parties, (not necessarily both), needs to be baptized Christian. The paperwork requirement for the civil side varies according to the nationality of Bride and Groom and we can advise of all necessary paperwork. For a Protestant Wedding without the civil validity, the Minister/Pastor will require a valid and recent civil marriage certificate prior the ceremony. Ceremonies for marriage anniversaries or renewal of wedding vows can also be also organized. The Pastor normally asks to "meet" the couple either by e-mail or by phone before the Wedding.
