The Wahiba Sands happily adheres to romantic imaginings of Arabia, seas of golden sand and date palm oases, Bedouin camps hidden amidst sweeping desert dunes. Here you will experience the thrill of dune bashing, be ready for a roller coaster ride over the dunes.
Morning board the Landcruiser 4WD in Muscat and drive southwards. As we cross the Hajar Mountains the scenery all along the way is not only beautiful but also spectacular. You reach Wadi Bani Khalid a beautiful oasis in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. The turquoise blue pools of fresh water are in stark contrast to the surrounding mountains. Later drive to Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red & white sea of sand dunes is also host to a variety of flora and fauna. On arrival we will have sand dune ride in our Land cruiser as we go deeper into the sands of Wahiba. Settle for a packed picnic lunch amidst the dunes. Late in the afternoon we start our journey back to Muscat.
