Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Weimar
After arriving at Frankfurt Airport collect your rental car and start your journey to Weimar. There you will settle into your accommodation for the next three nights and start your adventure in this culturally rich city.
Day 2: From Erfurt to Eisenach
After a hearty breakfast, set off to Erfurt, where a guided tour will unveil the beauty of the medieval cathedral and the historic streets that shaped Martin Luther's life. After a lunch break, head to Eisenach. Discover the medieval splendor of the town and visit the iconic Wartburg Castle, where Luther translated the Bible. Return to Weimar for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Weimar to Jena
Today, walk in the footsteps of Goethe, Schiller, and other luminaries in Weimar. A two-hour tour will immerse you in their life and work. Later, journey to Jena for a guided tour of this city known for its scientific advancements. Return to Weimar for the night.
Day 4: Meißen and Moritzburg
Meet your guide in Meißen for a tour of the historic Cathedral and the Albrechtsburg. Then, enjoy some free time in Moritzburg before traveling to Dresden. Spend the night in Dresden, the jewel of Saxony.
Day 5: Exploring Dresden
Begin your day with a two-hour guided tour of Dresden’s stunning historical landmarks. In the afternoon, explore the city's world-class museums at your own pace. Overnight in Dresden.
Day 6: The Beauty of Saxon Switzerland
Escape to the breathtaking landscapes of Saxon Switzerland, where nature's grandeur awaits. Return to Dresden for the night.
Day 7: Departure
