The region's specialties and traditions have created a strong foundation maintained throughout the ages, though the modern world has also had an influence. In our 4-day program (recommended for small groups of 8-10 people), we would like to showcase some highlights of our heritage.
Itinerary
On the first day, enjoy a delicious traditional dinner at Urban Betyár Restaurant & Ethnographic Visitor Center. This unique spot represents not only Hungarian culinary art but also our culture from years gone by.
Guests will spend the 2nd day at Hungary's largest outdoor collection, often referred to as the ‘Szentendre Skanzen’ to see in detail the folk architecture of the country’s characteristic regions, and the way of life and housing culture of village life.
On the 3rd day, we invite you to Hollókő (a UNESCO World Heritage site), where traditions are preserved even nowadays. When visiting Hollókő, you'll be amazed by its unique architectural marvels and gain insight into how people in villages lived at the onset of the 20th century, mainly through lunch with a local family.
On the last day, before leaving our amazing country, visit one of the new wonders of the City Park, the Museum of Ethnography. Here, nature and the man-made world coexist in harmony. While the exhibitions tell the story of the museum's collections over the last century and a half, the curved roof garden serves as a community space. By climbing to its highest points, you can enjoy a magnificent panorama.
